Four Kansas University soccer players — Meghan Miller, Caroline Smith, Amy Geha and Holly Gault — earned berths on the All-Big 12 Conference soccer team as chosen by league coaches.

Sixth-year coach Mark Francis, who guided KU to a share of the regular-season championship, was named coach of the year.

Miller, a senior goalkeeper, and Smith, a junior forward, were named for the second time. Geha, a senior forward, and Gault, a sophomore defender, were first-time picks.

KU senior forward Rachel Gilfillan and freshman defender Afton Sauer made the second team. Sauer and transfer Nicole Cauzillo were All-Newcomer picks.

Nebraska’s Brittany Timko, who led the league in scoring, was named player of the year.
