Kansas University has received another gift toward its proposed football facility.

Longtime KU benefactors Dana and Sue Anderson of Los Angeles donated $3.15 million toward the facility, which will be built near Memorial Stadium.

The Andersons said they thought the building would help generate more revenue for the football program.

The football building is expected to cost between $25 million and $30 million. No timetable has been set for groundbreaking.

One other gift — $3 million from Charles and Sharon Kimbell of Hutchinson — was announced last week.

The Andersons also donated $350,000 to KU’s business school.
