Columbia, Mo. ? Is it payback time for Kansas University’s volleyball team? KU coach Ray Bechard sure hopes so.
Two and a half weeks ago, Missouri outlasted Kansas in a five-game marathon in Lawrence. Now the Tigers and Jayhawks will collide at 7 tonight at MU’s Hearnes Center.
“Hopefully, we can return the favor,” Bechard said.
Missouri’s 8-4 record in Big 12 Conference games is mirrored by the Jayhawks’ 4-8 league mark.
A strong finish would help erase some of the bad taste of the Jayhawks’ disappointing season so far.
“We’ve got eight opponents left,” Bechard said. “It’s not time to panic. It’s time to take advantage of the opportunities we have.”
KU will be back in its Horejsi Center for its next two matches — Saturday against Oklahoma and a week from today against Baylor.
Norman, Okla. ? Kansas University’s volleyball team will be seeking its second straight Big 12 Conference road victory when it takes on Oklahoma at 6 tonight.
The Jayhawks (11-7 overall, 2-7 Big 12) are coming off a 3-2 Border Showdown setback Saturday night against Missouri at home. Prior to that loss, though, KU had won at Iowa State, 3-2.
The Sooners (9-8, 1-8) earned their first league victory Saturday against Colorado, 3-2.
College Station, Texas ? Kansas University’s women’s basketball team will face Texas A&M a team to which it has never lost in the regular-season finale for both teams today.
Tipoff for the Aggies’ Senior Night will be 7 p.m. at Reed Arena.

The outcome of tonight’s game and Nebraska’s game tonight at Oklahoma State will determine KU’s seed for next week’s Big 12 tournament.
The Jayhawks are tied with NU for ninth place in the league, with Nebraska holding the tiebreaker advantage by sweeping KU in the regular season.
A Nebraska win today would relegate Kansas to a No. 10 seed in the tournament. KU then would face the tourney’s No. 7 seed at 6 p.m. Tuesday in Kansas City. A KU win and Nebraska loss would give the Jayhawks the No. 9 seed and ensure a meeting with the No. 8 seed at noon on Tuesday.
