Allen windows to stay

By Staff     May 27, 2004

Rumors that windows will be removed and not be replaced at the refurbished Allen Fieldhouse are untrue, university architect Warren Corman said Wednesday.

“We’re not talking about taking them out,” Corman said. “The outside of the building will look the same as it does now. We want it to look like the original building. We just plan to replace the clear glass windows with glazed windows.”

Corman said the first objective would be to clean the exterior, which could begin this summer. HOK Architects is working on a Hall of Athletics, and construction may begin this fall.
