Jose Rodriguez, the younger brother of Kansas University lineman Cesar Rodriguez, has made an oral commitment to play for KU.
Jon Kirby of rivals.com reported late Tuesday night that the younger Rodriguez — a 6-foot-6, 255-pound offensive tackle who will be a senior next fall at Bishop Amat High in La Puente, Calif. — had decided to follow his brother to Lawrence.
Cesar Rodriguez is expected to compete for the starting job at left tackle next season after taking a red-shirt year as a freshman in 2003.
KU assistant coach Dave Doeren recruited both brothers.
