Kansas University athletic department staffer Jay Hinrichs is one of five finalists for the athletic director’s job at Northern Colorado.
Hinrichs, KU’s associate athletic director for facilities planning, will interview for the post next week. The other finalists are UNC associate AD Mark Harlan, South Carolina associate AD Chris Massaro, Montana development director Jim O’Day and former Utah State AD Rance Pugmire.
Hinrichs was named to the facilities post in April after spending two years as director of the department’s Williams Fund. A KU graduate, Hinrichs spent 18 years in the front office of the Kansas City Royals.
