A former Kansas University running back was booked Saturday afternoon into Douglas County Jail for a dispute that happened Friday.
Harold McClendon, a 23-year-old KU senior from Jacksonville, Fla., was jailed at 12:26 p.m. Saturday on charges of violating a restraining order, battery and misdemeanor theft. He was being held at the jail in lieu of $500 bond.
A call came into the KU Public Safety Office about 5 p.m. Friday, but officers didn’t find McClendon until Saturday, said Capt. Schuyler Bailey, public information officer for the Public Safety Office.
