KU-Texas Tech notes

  • Kansas University leads the series, 14-1, and has won all seven meetings in Allen Fieldhouse. KU won the last meeting, 65-56, last March in Lubbock, Texas, and has won the last five.
  • KU coach Bill Self is 1-3 against the Red Raiders. Tech coach Bob Knight is 4-9 versus the Jayhawks, 0-3 while at Texas Tech.

¢ Tech assistant Pat Knight was 1-4 versus the Jayhawks as a player. The younger Knight was a member of four Indiana teams that played KU five times between 1991-94. Knight averaged 5.6 minutes in the five contests.

  • Bob Knight is 62-26 in his third year with the Red Raiders, 826-315 in his 38th season as a head coach.

¢ Aaron Miles needs two steals to pass Nick Bradford for fifth place on the Jayhawks’ all-time career list.

  • Keith Langford needs nine points to pass Jacque Vaughn for 28th place on Kansas’ all-time career scoring list, and 11 points to pass Scot Pollard and Greg Dreiling for 26th place on that chart.
