Jayhawks trample Nevada Las-Vegas, 2-0

? Kansas University’s soccer team defeated Nevada-Las Vegas, 2-0, on Saturday night at Johann Memorial Field in the season opener for both teams.

KU’s Caroline Smith scored off a pass from Rachel Gilfillan in the 28th minute. Jessica Smith scored four minutes later off a pass from Lauren Williams.

Goalkeeper Meghan Miller recorded the shutout for the Jayhawks (1-0).

UNLV fell to 0-1.
