Former Kansas University track distance runner Charlie Gruber will run in the Olympic 1,500 quarterfinals at 11:35 a.m. today. The semifinals are set for 1 p.m. Sunday, and the finals will be at 3:40 p.m. Tuesday.
“It is a great honor as I represent my country, school, and the city of Lawrence,” Gruber said. “I use the support as a benefit to push me, and don’t view it as a weight on my shoulders.”
