Two members of the Wilkes family will be playing for the University of California men’s basketball team during the 2005-06 season.
Jordan Wilkes, a 6-foot-11 senior from Loyola High in Los Angeles, has orally committed to the Golden Bears over Stanford and Washington.
Wilkes is the brother of former Kansas University guard Omar Wilkes, who transferred from KU to Cal earlier this summer. Omar Wilkes can practice but not play in games this season in accordance with NCAA rules.
The Wilkes brothers are the sons of former UCLA and NBA standout Jamaal Wilkes.
