More Jayhawk doctor hopefuls

By J-W Staff Reports     Aug 13, 2004

Lance Snyder’s distinction as the latest former Kansas University football player to become a doctor will end next year.

Greg Erb, a former defensive back (1997-99), has completed three years at KU Med School and plans to graduate in May. Erb is a Lawrence High graduate.

Also, Matt Thompson isn’t the only member of the KU football team who plans to attend medical school.

Jonathan Lamb, a sophomore wide receiver from Olathe, also is taking a pre-med curriculum.

Among the other former KU football players who have become doctors are Tom Fitch, John Schroll, Mike McCoy, Ken Wertzberger and Ron Oelschlager.
