Benton Harbor, Mich. ? Kansas University’s Kevin Ward and Tyler Hall were eliminated in the quarterfinals of the Western Amateur golf tournament Saturday.
Ward, a KU senior from Leawood, beat Andrew McKenzie of Canberra, Australia, 3 and 1, then fell to Australia’s James Nitties in 21 holes in the quarters.
Hall, a 2004 KU graduate from Wayne, N.J., beat Eric Olson of Newcastle, Wash., 2 and 1, then fell to Ryan Moore of Puyallup, Wash., 1-up in the quarters.
