? Oklahoma scored what proved to be the winning run on a passed ball in the bottom of the seventh inning of a 2-1 Big 12 Conference softball victory Sunday over Kansas University.

With the win, the 21st-ranked Sooners (35-16-1 overall, 9-6 Big 12) completed a sweep of the two game series with KU (27-25-1, 3-10).

OU scored first in the bottom of the second when Jessica Leslie singled to left field, moved to second on a walk by Jamie Fox, advanced to third on a groundout by Christina Mena and scored on an error by KU third baseman Nettie Fierros.

The Jayhawks tied it in the top of the sixth on Jessica Moppin’s two-out, solo home run over the center-field wall. Moppin, who took a hard foul off her knee, came out of the game and didn’t return.

Oklahoma’s Kristin Vesely walked to lead off the decisive seventh inning. She went to second on a groundout and to third on a wild pitch. KU freshman Kassie Humphreys intentionally walked the next two batters, but Vesely scored on a passed ball charged to KU catcher Dani May.

Humphreys (12-10) allowed five hits, walked eight and struck out two in 61/3 innings. KU recorded three hits — from Moppin, Heather Stanley and Leah Mountain — but left six on base while the defense committed two errors.

The Sooners left 10 on base and the committed two errors.

Kansas will wrap up a five-game road trip Wednesday when it faces No. 15 Nebraska at Bowlin Stadium in Lincoln, Neb. First pitch is 5:30 p.m.
