Jackie Stiles won’t be joining Kansas University’s women’s basketball staff.
“Jackie and I talked about her being our administrative assistant, and she decided that the position we had available would not meet her career needs at this time,” KU coach Bonnie Henrickson said.
Stiles, a native of Claflin who became the all-time leading scorer in NCAA women’s basketball history while playing at Southwest Missouri State, has been plagued by injuries during her last two seasons in the WNBA.
Stiles has expressed interest in being an assistant coach at a college program, but all those slots are full on Henrickson’s staff.
