STILLWATER, OKLA. ? Ty Wright hit a walk-off, two-run home run in the bottom of the 14th inning Sunday as Oklahoma State beat Kansas University, 10-8, to complete a three-game sweep of their Big 12 Conference baseball series.
Sean Richardson had put the Jayhawks ahead with an RBI single in the top of the inning, but the Cowboys rallied off Clint Schambach (3-2) in their half of the 14th.
Chris Gutierrez walked to lead off the inning and moved to second on a sacrifice bunt by Keanon Simon.
Rusty Ryal then singled home Gutierrez before Wright’s game-winner.
Wright also helped the Cowboys (24-13, 7-4 Big 12) come back from an 8-4 deficit in the eighth to force extra innings. He drove in two runs with a single in the eighth, and Rod Allen added a two-run single in the ninth as the Cowboys tied the score.
Scott Richmond kept the Cowboys close, giving up only one run in 10 innings of relief. DeWayne Carver (3-0) pitched the final 12/3 innings for the win.
Schambach gave up three runs on four hits in 31/3 innings.
Travis Metcalf hit a solo home run, and Jared Schweitzer had a two-run blast for the Jayhawks (24-19, 2-10 Big 12).
Shortstop Ritchie Price was 5-for-7 with three RBIs for Kansas.
The Jayhawks, losers of three straight, will travel Wednesday to face No. 11 Wichita State.
First pitch will be at 7 p.m. at Eck Stadium.
