? Kansas University’s softball squad traveled here for a doubleheader against Texas A&M. The Jayhawks will travel home with two more losses.

The Aggies swept the Jayhawks, 8-0 and 7-3, Saturday at Aggie Softball Field. Texas A&M was dominant from the first pitch, limiting the Jayhawks to just six hits in the twinbill.

A&M’s Jessica Kapchinski threw a complete-game shutout in the opener.

Kansas’ bats woke up in the second game, but barely. The Jayhawks scored three runs on five hits against A&M pitcher Lindsay Wilhelmson before the Aggies brought Kapchinski back in to shut the door.

The Jayhawks, who fell to 23-19-1 overall and 2-6 in the Big 12 Conference, play host Tuesday to Wichita State.
