KU leads Intercollegiate

? Through two rounds, the No. 25 Kansas University men’s golf team leads the 15-team field at the Intercollegiate at MacGregor Downs in Cary, N.C.

The Jayhawks opened the two-day tournament with a first-round 283 (five under par) bettered that mark by four strokes in the second round for a first-day total of 562. No. 23 Duke is in second place with 565 strokes.

Kevin Ward is tied for second with a two-round total of 136, and Tyler Hall is tied for fourth (139). Tyler Docking is tied for eighth (141), Andrew Price is tied for 23rd (146) and Gary Woodland is in 78th (158).

KU will attempt to hold on to its lead and win the tournament today. Tee-times begin at 8 a.m.
