SPRINGFIELD, MO. ? Rachel Gilfillan and Amy Geha each had a goal and an assist as Kansas University’s soccer team edged Southwest Missouri State, 2-1, Tuesday at Cooper Sports Complex.
Gilfillan’s goal in the 13th minute gave KU (4-1-0) a 1-0 lead, but the Bears (0-3-2) tied it in the 76th minute.
Geha’s goal seven minutes later won it for Kansas.
“We didn’t play particularly well tonight,” KU coach Mark Francis said. “(SMS) played very well and you have to give them credit.
