Kansas University coach Mark Mangino said senior quarterback Bill Whittemore would be ready for Saturday’s game against UNLV. Whittemore “tweaked” his right knee during the second quarter of last Saturday’s season-opening loss to Northwestern.
“He’s feeling better,” Mangino said after Wednesday’s practice. “I wouldn’t say he’s absolutely 100 percent today, but he will be by game time. He’s getting some treatment. He’s going to be fine. There’s nothing seriously wrong with him.”
