? The Kansas University volleyball squad shook off the absence of freshman standout Janaina Correa to sweep Oklahoma, 3-0, Saturday at McCasland Fieldhouse.

The Jayhawks (12-4, 4-3 Big 12 Conference) beat the Sooners, 30-25, 30-19, 30-23.

Correa, who leads the Jayhawks with 3.88 kills per game and Monday was named Big 12 Player of the Week, suffered an undisclosed injury during pregame warmups.

But junior Lindsey Morris stepped up, leading KU with 15 kills. Sophomore Josi Lima added 12 kills, and junior Ashley Michaels had 11, allowing the Jayhawks to beat the Sooners (9-10, 1-5) for the fourth straight time.

Senior Sarah Rome led KU with 11 digs and reached 1,000 for her career, becoming just the second Jayhawk to reach that mark.

Sophomore Andi Rozum notched a match-high 40 assists and added six kills.

“I am really proud of how well these girls responded to the loss of Correa,” KU coach Ray Bechard said.

The Jayhawks will continue their Big 12 road trip against Texas A&M at 7 p.m. Wednesday in College Station, Texas.
