Kansas University’s volleyball squad travels today to Lubbock, Texas, for a 1 p.m. match with Texas Tech. The Red Raiders (8-6 overall, 0-5 Big 12 Conference) lead the all-time series against the Jayhawks, 12-3.
KU split two matches with Tech last season as each squad won on its home court.
Freshman Janaina Correa leads the Jayhawks (10-5, 2-2) with 3.91 kills per game, junior libero Jill Dorsey averages 3.76 digs, and senior Sarah Rome contributes 3.59 kills and 2.98 digs.
KU had its three-game winning streak snapped Wednesday with a 3-2 loss at Missouri. The Jayhawks still are seeking their first conference road win this season.
The Jayhawks play host to Nebraska at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Today, KU will play Kansas State’s club team at 11:45 a.m. and Butler County CC at 2 p.m. Sunday, the Jayhawks will meet Emporia State at 12:15 p.m. and Washburn at 2:30 p.m. Johnson County CC is also in the field.
The meet is being played at CLSC because KU’s new facility still is under construction.
