KU track sends nine to Big 12 finals

? Nine Kansas University athletes qualified for today’s finals at the Big 12 Track and Field Championships.

The Jayhawk qualifiers: Laura Lavoie and Megan Manthe, 1,500-meter run; Brooklyn Hann, 100 hurdles; Shameika McField, 400; Kim Clark and Jenna Bimbi, 800; Leo Bookman, men’s 200-meter run; Anson Jackson, 110 hurdles; and Jeremy Mims, 800.

KU’s women are in fifth place and the men seventh in team standings.
