Kansas men’s golf 12th at Intercollegiate

? Kansas University’s men’s golf team finished The Ridges Intercollegiate with a total of 892 strokes to place 12th at the 18-team event.

Florida finished first with a three-round score of 854, followed by TCU with 859. Clemson and Southern California tied for third at 871.

KU junior Andrew Price’s tournament total of 214 and sixth-place finish were the best of his career.

Kansas will play host to the Kansas Invitational Sept. 22-23 at Alvamar.

Kansas men’s golf 12th at Stevinson

? The Kansas University men’s golf team finished 12th out of 14 teams Tuesday at the Stevinson Ranch Invitational. The Jayhawks shot a three-round score of 895 on the par-72 Stevinson Ranch Golf Club.

Junior Tyler Hall was KU’s top individual finisher, placing in a tie for eighth at 216. Senior Chris Marshall tied for 26th at 222, and sophomore Andrew Price tied for 40th at 225.

The Jayhawks return to action April 7-8 at the Western Intercollegiate in Santa Cruz, Calif.

Kansas men’s golf tied for tourney lead

? Behind Travis Hurst’s 36-hole score of 142 strokes, Kansas University’s was tied for the lead of the Stevinson Ranch Invitational on Monday.

KU and Tulsa share the team lead with 597 strokes.

Hurst, a junior, shot 71-70141 and is a stroke behind leader Jason Higton of Pacific.

Other KU scores: Chris Marshall, tied for eighth, 150; Casey Harbour, tied for 11th, 151; Conrad Roberts, tied for 27th, 155; Andy Stewart, tied for 36th, 157; and Tyler Hall, 61st, 163.
