Aiken, S.C. ? Kansas University’s men’s golf team is tied for second in the 15-team field at the Cleveland College Golf Collegiate Championships after Monday’s opening round. KU is tied with Texas-Arlington and South Carolina-Aiken.
College of Charleston’s score of 288 leads all schools.
The Jayhawks posted a 291 on the 6,380 yard, par-71 Palmetto Golf Club. They will complete the second round today after torrential rain halted Monday’s play.
KU senior Chris Marshall is third after shooting 70, while junior Tyler Hall is tied for eighth with a 72. Freshman Ryan Rainer (74) is tied for 25th, while freshman Pete Krsnich (75) is tied for 36th. Sophomore Andrew Price (77) is tied for 58th.
