Kansas University’s tennis team tripped Colorado, 4-3, on Thursday in the first round of the Big 12 Conference championships. The No. 8 seed Jayhawks (14-10) will meet No. 1 seed Baylor today.

KU tennis wins first stop on Iowa tour, 4-3

? Kansas University’s women’s tennis team downed Iowa, 4-3, Friday.

KU had three singles winners — Paige Brown, Emily Haylock and Christine Skoda — and prevailed in doubles.

“We won the doubles point, which was key,” KU coach Kilmeny Waterman said. “We played well on their home court. This gives our team some confidence going into (today’s) match with Iowa State.”

KU will meet the Cyclones at noon in Ames, Iowa.
