Kansas University baseball player Ryan Baty has been selected to participate in the Cape Cod League All-Star Game Saturday in Falmouth, Mass.

Baty, who plays for the Hyannis Mets, was chosen as a designated hitter on the West team. Baty, a senior from Wichita, leads Hyannis with 16 RBIs and five doubles. He has a .289 batting average in the wood-bat league for collegiate players.

Last spring Baty, the Jayhawks’ first baseman, set a KU single-season hit record with 97. He was a second-team All-Big 12 Conference pick.
