High school senior Shatoya Hill has signed a national letter of intent to compete for the Kansas University track and field team next season, University officials announced today.
Hill, who attends Lubbock (Texas) Estacado High School, was the 2002 Texas 4A state champion in the long jump. Her personal best in the long jump is 19-feet-5, and her personal best in the triple jump is 39-5.
“Shatoya will be a great addition to the program,” Kansas coach Stanley Redwine said. “Coach (Milan) Donley did an excellent job recruiting an excellent jumper from Texas. We are excited to have her.”
