For the fourth straight week, Kansas University’s softball team will be on the road for a tournament.

After traveling to Florida, then making back-to-back trips to California, the Jayhawks will be in Tuscaloosa, Ala., today through Sunday for the Crimson Classic.

With 10 wins in 13 starts, the Jayhawks are off to their best start since 1996. They are scheduled to meet Penn State at 11 this morning, then tangle with host Alabama at 4 p.m.

KU will meet Texas-Arlington at 11 a.m. Saturday, then move into bracket play. The championship game will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, following the 11 a.m. consolation contest.

After this weekend, coach Tracy Bunge’s team will have a 13-day layoff to prepare for midterms, then play seven games in a five-day span, beginning with a doubleheader March 15 against New Mexico State in Stillwater, Okla.
