? The KU tennis team lost, 4-3, to Denver on Saturday, splitting the six singles matches and losing the doubles point.

The Pioneers took a 1-0 lead after KU lost its first two doubles matches, and singles victories from Emily Haylock, Christine Skoda and Kim Lorenz weren’t enough.

“The altitude change got us off to a slow start and we lost the doubles point,” head coach Kilmeny Waterman said. “As we started to adjust and get better spin on the ball, we tried to play catch up in singles, but it was too little too late. Denver came out much more energized than us.”
