Kansas University’s sweep of Louisiana State last weekend vaulted the Jayhawks into this week’s Collegiate Baseball News poll.

Kansas, 9-3, is No. 21 after becoming the first non-conference team since Houston in 2000 to sweep LSU in Baton Rouge, La.

The three losses dropped LSU from No. 6 to No. 12. Texas remained No. 1. Other Big 12 Conference schools ranked are Baylor (16th), Texas A&M (19th), Nebraska (22nd) and Oklahoma (28th).

KU did not crack the Baseball America poll released Monday.

The Jayhawks play host to Eastern Michigan in a three-game series beginning Friday at Hoglund Ballpark.

A limited number of box seats remain for the 2003 season. Cost of one season ticket is $75. Call 1-800-34-HAWKS for more information.
