Kansas stuck at No. 12 in AP Top 25

By J-W Staff Reports     Feb 3, 2003

Despite topping No. 3 Texas last Monday, the Jayhawks remain No. 12 in this week’s AP Top 25.

The top 11 from last week shuffled spots this week, with just one team — the Longhorns — ranked the same in both polls. Florida (18-2) took over the top spot after Arizona’s loss to Stanford on Saturday, which dropped the Wildcats (16-2) to No. 2.

Other ranked Big 12 teams are No. 7 Oklahoma (15-3), No. 11 Oklahoma State (17-2) and No. 21 Missouri (13-4). No other Big 12 team received votes.

The rest of the top 10 is as follows: Pittsburgh (15-2), Louisville (16-1), Kentucky (16-3), Maryland (14-4), Duke (14-3), Notre Dame (18-3).

The top 25 teams in The Associated Press’ men’s college basketball poll, with first-place votes in parentheses, records through Feb. 2, total points based on 25 points for a first-place vote through one point for a 25th-place vote and previous ranking:
