Jayhawks defeat Cornhuskers, 81-51

Nebraska cut Kansas’ 15-point halftime margin by a few points early in the second half, but the Jayhawks outscored the Cornhuskers by 15 en route to a 30-point victory.

Keith Langford and Kirk Hinrich each scored 17 points and grabbed seven rebounds, and Nick Collison, who started 1-of-7 from the field, and Aaron Miles each scored 14 points. Collison grabbed nine rebounds, and Miles dished out 10 assists and grabbed six rebounds.

Jeff Graves, Michael Lee and Bryant Nash each added five points for the Jayhawks (15-5 overall, 5-1 Big 12).

Andrew Drevo led Nebraska (9-11, 1-6) with 15 points. Nate Johnson scored eight points, and Brennon Clemmons and Corey Simms each added six points.

HALFTIME REPORT
KU trailed 11-10 a few moments into the game, but went on a 26-7 run and finished the half with a 15-point lead.

Keith Langford has 14 points, Kirk Hinirch has 11 and Aaron Miles has seven points. Hinrich and Nick Collison, who has four points and just one field goal, each have two fouls. Jeff Graves has two points and five rebounds.

Andrew Drevo leads Nebraska with 10 points, and Nate Johnson has six.

The Jayhawks hit 41 percent of their shots, while Nebraska shot 33 percent from the field. Kansas committed seven turnovers, and Nebraska turned the ball over nine times. The Jayhawks outrebounded the Cornhuskers, 26-18.
