INGLEWOOD, CALIF. ? The Los Angeles Sparks signed forward Lynn Pride Thursday and waived center Jenny Mowe.
Pride, a Kansas University product and first-round draft pick by Portland in 2000, has averaged 4.3 points in her WNBA career. Tamecka Dixon, another KU product, also plays for the Sparks.
Mowe, signed to a seven-day contract, played 10 games for Portland in 2001 and 2002 and was waived by Washington before the season.
Playing without Lisa Leslie and DeLisha Milton, the two-time defending WNBA champions have lost four straight.
