Kansas University men’s golfers Ryan Rainer and Pete Krsnich were named to the Academic All-Big 12 Conference first team, the league announced Tuesday.
Both Jayhawks are red-shirt freshmen, the only first-year golfers on either the first or second academic teams.
Rainier is from Norman, Okla.; Krsnich is from Wichita.
To qualify for the academic teams, golfers must carry a GPA of 3.0 or better.
KU will travel to Tulsa, Okla., for the Big 12 Championships, which run Monday and Tuesday.
