Kansas University fans, apparently, are enamored of new KU basketball coach Bill Self.
According to an unscientific poll at kusports.com, 83 percent of the participants — close to 9,000 by Tuesday night — said they were “happy” with Self’s hiring.
Another 15 percent said they were happy — but only if Self doesn’t leave for Oklahoma State when Eddie Sutton retires.
A mere 2 percent said KU “needed to hire someone with experience at a big-name university or the NBA.”
