Show your support for KU men’s basketball players

By Staff     Apr 17, 2003

You loved them when they won the Big 12 Conference regular season men’s basketball championship.

You cheered for them during their run to the NCAA title game.

And you sympathized with them when they fell to Syracuse.

Now is the time to tell the members of Kansas University’s men’s basketball team how much they mean to you and how great a season they had.

Write them individually or as a group. Send your thank-you notes to Kansas Basketball Office, Parrott Complex, Lawrence, Kan., 66045. Or send an e-mail to: mensbasketball@jayhawks.org.

Team members were seniors Nick Collison and Kirk Hinrich; juniors Jeff Graves, Bryant Nash and Brett Olson; sophomores Keith Langford, Aaron Miles, Wayne Simien and Michael Lee; and freshmen Moulaye Niang, Jeff Hawkins, Stephen Vinson and Christian Moody.

When you’re done thanking the 2002-2003 players, why not take a little more time to tell the Jayhawks’ four recruits how pleased you are they chose Kansas and how much you look forward to cheering for them in 2003-2004?

Here are the KU recruits with the mailing addresses of their schools:

  • Jeremy Case: McAlester High School, Box 1027, McAlester, Okla., 74502-1027.
  • J.R. Giddens: John Marshall High School, 9017 N. University Ave., Oklahoma City, Okla., 73114.
  • David Padgett: Reno High School, 395 Booth St., Reno, Nev., 89509.
  • Omar Wilkes: Loyola High School, 1902 Venice Blvd., Los Angeles, Calif., 90006.
