Three days after withdrawing his name for consideration for the head-coaching job at Kansas, Mark Mangino was running the football program.
Mangino ends a three stint as an assistant at Oklahoma where he finished as offensive coordinator after serving as running game coordinator and offensive line coach. Prior to his years at Oklahoma, coach Mangino spent eight seasons under Bill Snyder at Kansas State where he was running game coordinator and later, assistant head coach.
Mangino was also instrumental as a recruiter there. The Kansas post is his first head-coaching job at the college level.
