“So, how do I get tickets to a KU home basketball game?”
Yep, that’s the question we probably receive the most here at KUsports.com.
And there’s a fairly simple answer.
Tickets to all KU games are technically all sold out. But general admission tickets sometimes become available when students decide to not pick up tickets for certain games. Games during the holiday breaks (Thanksgiving and Christmas) are the best bets for this option.
Tickets are usually available for games during semester break definitely for a game like UNC Asheville on Jan. 2.
The best way to get tickets this way is to call 1.800.34.HAWKS, which is the phone number for the KU Athletics ticket office. Folks there will tell you if tickets are available for the game you wish to attend. But remember, all games are “officially” sold out.
There are always scalpers outside of Allen Fieldhouse, so that is always an option, too.
These “scalped” ticket prices usually depend on how big the game is. That means getting tickets to the Emporia State game might cost you anywhere from $50-$80 a piece, while the Arizona game is going to be much more expensive than that.
There are also some sites on the Internet that have KU tickets available, just note that these options are also going to be quite expensive. Here are a few of those options:

Ace Sports in the Oak Park Mall in Overland Park also has tickets for most KU home games, but like most of the options above, plan on spending a pretty penny.
