Janay Leddy, a member of the Kansas University sports information staff for the last four years, will be in charge of media relations for the Jayhawks’ football team this fall.
Leddy, who had been assigned to women’s basketball, replaces Doug Vance who will concentrate on administrative duties in his role as associate athletics director for communications.
Vance, now in his 19th year at Kansas, is in charge of marketing, media relations, information services, video board operation, KU’s partnership agreement with ESPN Regional, licensing and the KU Sports Hall of Fame.
Leddy, a Washington State graduate, has been editor of the football game day program in addition to her duties with women’s basketball. Vance said a new media source for women’s basketball will be named soon.
Vance also announced that Mitch Germann has been promoted to director of media relations and will coordinate all office operations.
Germann, a 1995 Kansas graduate, will continue to be the men’s basketball media representative.
