KU Softball: Arkansas awaits Jayhawks

? Kansas University’s softball team will take a break from Big 12 Conference play today when it meets Arkansas in a 3 p.m. doubleheader.

Kansas, 17-12 overall and 2-2 in league play, is being led in hitting by senior left fielder Christi Musser, who owns a .417 batting average with team-bests in RBI (18), runs (19) and home runs (5).

Senior outfielder-DH Leah Tabb has hit .556 in the last four games and was named Big 12 player of the week. Pitcher Kara Pierce has won her last two decisions, including the first no-hitter of her career in the Jayhawks’ 4-0 victory last week over Oklahoma State.
