? Kansas University’s men’s golf team was tied for fifth in a 15-team field Monday after two rounds of the Cleveland Collegiate Championships.

Kansas recorded rounds of 283 and 291 for a total of 574 on the 6,380 yard, par-71 Palmetto Golf Club. Virginia Tech leads with a two-round total of 558.

“We played pretty well during today’s first round,,” coach Ross Randall said. “I think the guys got tired during the second round, causing us to struggle on the green.”

Junior Chris Marshall opened with a 73, then followed with a 69, his best round of the spring season, good for a share of 16th place. Senior Travis Hurst opened with a two-under par 69 and followed with 73, also placing him in a tie for 16th.

The final 18 holes are scheduled today.
