Summer camps: Future KU basketball players Jeremy Case (6-0, McAlester, Okla.) and J.R. Giddens (6-5, Oklahoma City) played for the Athletes First team that fell in the quarterfinals of the Peach Jam AAU tourney in Atlanta this week.
Case had 19 points off 7-of-10 shooting against Howard Pulley AAU in the quarters while Giddens hit for 10 points on 4-of-8 shooting. Earlier, Giddens had 20 in a win over Georgia, while Case had two points. Case had 15 and Giddens 19 in an opening-round game against California.
