KU student-athletes succeed in classroom

Nine of 16 Kansas University athletics teams posted grade point averages of 3.0 or better in the fall semester. KU teams had a combined GPA of 2.83.

During the fall semester, 207 student-athletes were named Jayhawk Scholars for earning 3.0 GPAs or better, and 29 Jayhawks earned 4.0 averages.

Women’s cross country posted the highest team GPA in KU history at 3.57. Other teams at 3.0 or better were swimming and diving (3.24), women’s track and field (3.21), tennis (3.20), softball (3.13), men’s cross country (3.11), rowing (3.07), soccer (3.06) and women’s golf (3.05).
