Kansas University kicker Johnny Beck was named to The Sporting News’ Big 12 All-Freshman team, the publication announced Monday.
Beck, a Kansas City Piper High product, hit 14 of 20 field goal attempts and was 16-of-17 on extra points as a true freshman. Beck had two field goals from longer than 50 yards, including a 59-yard blast at Colorado.
