Murguia will speak to Hispanic students Thursday at Goodland High School to stress the importance of education.
She will speak Saturday at the Latina Women’s Leadership Conference at Garden City Community College. The conference is sponsored by a grant from the National Center for Outreach received by Smoky Hills Public Television.
Murguia also will appear with Al Bohl, KU’s athletics director, in several towns in western Kansas to meet with alumni and prospective students.
