Barr finalist at Arkansas

Johnny Barr, Kansas University’s linebackers coach last season, is one of three candidates for a defensive post at Arkansas.

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reported Friday that Barr, Middle Tennessee State assistant head coach Kacy Rogers and Alabama aide Kenith Pope are the three finalists for the vacancy.

Razorbacks’ head coach Houston Nutt is expected to make a decision this weekend. Barr was not retained when Mark Mangino was named the Jayhawks’ new head coach.
