A former Kansas University football player was arrested by KU Public Safety officers Monday on a warrant for failure to appear in Lawrence Municipal Court.
Officers took Termaine Fulton, 23, who last fall was a fifth-year senior wide receiver, directly to court on the warrant.
Fulton failed to show in court Jan. 9 on charges of leaving the scene of a traffic accident, not having proof of insurance and making an improper lane change, court records showed. He had been cited Dec. 14 by Lawrence Police.
After his appearance Monday, Fulton was released on $307 bond, and a new court date of Feb. 27 was set for resolving the charges.
KU police learned of the warrant for Fulton’s arrest while questioning him about a hit-and-run accident that occurred on campus, Lt. Schuyler Bailey said. No other information about that accident was released.
