Two Kansas University musicians are advancing to the national finals of the annual Music Teachers National Assn. Collegiate Artist Performance Competition.
Amir Khosrowpour, a junior pianist, and Christopher Nierman, a senior trumpet player, will compete March 18 in Cincinnati. They will compete against six other students in their divisions who won their regional competitions.
The association’s national event includes divisions for brass, piano, strings, voice and winds.
