Hill recovered from an 0-for-10 outing in her previous game by scoring 21 points and grabbing eight rebounds to lead No. 4 Oklahoma past slumping Kansas, 79-57, on Saturday.

Hill made eight of her 13 shots from the field against the Jayhawks, four days after failing to sink any in a 66-58 victory over Oklahoma State.

“I’ve probably had worse games before, but that night was so frustrating because not a single shot went in,” the junior forward said. “I couldn’t make anything. But I also knew I couldn’t worry about it. My teammates really were encouraging and that helped my confidence.”

Stacey Dales added 18 points as the Sooners (18-2, 8-1 Big 12) shot 52 percent from the field (31-of-60).

Hill made her first two shots and sparked a 21-2 run with 11 first-half points, including consecutive three-pointers midway through the period.

“Our guards gave me the ball in some good positions to score, and it came down to me not forcing shots,” Hill said.

Oklahoma beat Kansas (5-18, 0-10) for the fourth straight time and won its fourth game in a row overall since losing at Iowa State on Jan. 15. The Sooners have won 17 straight at home.

Kansas, meanwhile, has lost 10 straight and its 18 losses are the most in a season in school history.

“Great opening 10 minutes,” Oklahoma coach Sherri Coale said. “I thought we were really, really good coming out of the tunnel. Caton was great. She is such a good player, such a good shooter.”

Oklahoma limited the visitors to 19-percent shooting from the field (5-of-26) and led by as many as 26 points. The Sooners led 34-12 at the break.

Selena Scott scored 20 points for Kansas, 18 in the second half. The senior guard was the only KU player in double figures.
